I’ll admit that it’s rare for me to pull off a well-timed photobomb. But when it’s done well, it can add a layer of context or juxtaposition to an otherwise pretty (but generic) photo. Or just add some humor to a situation.
Let’s admit it. We all like to admire a stunning scene or a perfectly captured digital moment. But we also like to laugh and feel like we can relate to the experience, even if it’s taking place halfway around the world.

And if your travel companions are a group of mischievous brothers (and father), you have to capture the moments.
For example, my father (pictured here with the blue bucket hat) is the same height as Michael Jordan. Perfect for photobombing a group of Buddhist monks in Mandalay.

And my youngest brother will literally leap over a Bangkok beach chair to get into the picture!
As much as I enjoy finding the perfect angle, lighting and angle to showcase my destinations, it’s often the unplanned moments that provide the best memories!
